An interesting cell phone we had the chance to review is the Siemens SX66, a phone that was conceived to compete a very competitive market. Launched around 01/1/2005 the SX66 works under the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Measuring only 125 x 72 x 19 mm and weighting only 210 g, this phone is just the perfect size. This phone arrives with a 1490 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you talk for about 4.00 hours and gives in standby 168 hours. Its engineers included a 96 MB memory, enough for a regular use! Adding to its internal memory external memory can be added of format SD / MMC memory cards. An interesting option of the Siemens SX66 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The screen on this cell phone lets setting a wallpaper of 240 x 320 px. Siemens has designed its SX66 with a 40 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add a lot of ringtones. If you love to skin your phone you will appreciate the fact that the SX66 enables custom. The gaming system included in the Siemens SX66 is based on J2ME, having cool little games to play with! Unsurprisingly, as it is available in all cell phones nowadays, the SX66 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging. It also supports MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The predictive text system is based on the Handwriting Recognition technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The SX66 is supporting streaming media of type based on the Windows Media Player technology. The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. The SX66 includes an infrared port for wireless communication. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to share information. We believe the Siemens SX66 to be a great cell phone and we would recommend it to anyone interested in a good phone!
